Jazz Morley
This elfin singer songwriter’s journey to this stage started with a track on her recent demo panel appearance. She hails from Bournemouth and is much in demand; gigging constantly already.

Not often do you come across someone of Jazz Morley's youth, at only 21 years, with such depth of self knowledge and determination. That quality is reflected in her vocal delivery which has great strength with just that edge of fragility here and there which touches the heart where needed.

She is represented by promoter and manager Iain Martin who has been recruited to the BBC Introducing The South demo panel. Jazz is a restless, individual spirit whose songs are an illustration of her experiences and relationships. And then there is the mystery keyboard player who is totally unaware of her adoration …!

Muel
Muel is the master stroke of Brightonian singer songwriter and multi instrumentalist Sam Walker. Walker was the drummer with the sadly missed Turning Green who disbanded last year and were a very popular show live lounge graduate. He’s fulfilled his heart felt desire to put together a band to showcase his remarkable songs. The band can perform from a duo to a ten piece and for Brighton Live Sam is going for as full a band as he can muster and hopes that he can even secure some of his brass section.

Walker energises the whole room along with his band and by the end of the set there is a full on carnival feel.

Muel are about to re-release their first album (first available six months ago) on I-tunes with special re-mixes. He’s spent much of the summer touring with the ‘god of fire’ Arthur Brown and has some great stories to tell!

Seminar: Singing and Performance with Jo Harman
2 x 1 hour sessions; 1pm til 2pm & 3pm til 4pm.

20 singers only per session, pre-booking essential via info@brightonlive.net

Places are strictly limited and will be given on a first come, first served basis. But PLEASE, if you do book, please turn up (or at the very least advise us that you are canceling) because, otherwise, you may be depriving others a place.

During the hour long session, Jo will go through some key points of vocal technique, delivery and performance and, all things being equal, will give the opportunity for some group harmony singing. All ages and abilities welcome.

In the short time since leaving education - with separate music and drama degrees - Brighton based Johanna has been one of busiest and highly rated young singers around; both as a 'voice for hire' and as an artist in her own right. As well as recording with Grammy Winning and double Grammy nominated producers, Jo regularly fronts bands containing world class sidemen whose CV's include the likes of Sting, Jools Holland, David Bowie, Paul Weller, Amy Winehouse, Massive Attack, Bob Dylan and more. Described as 'one of the great white soul voices of her generation', Jo is a throwback to all those classic British Rhythm and Blues singers of music's golden age. Currently working on a debut album, her busy gigging schedule now includes leading her own band at some of most prestigious club venues in London and beyond.

Toniks (The)
Since getting together in their present line-up a year ago in Guildford, they have been in high demand gigging in London and the South East, building a loyal following, before even their first gig had a Number 1 and Number 3 in the People's Choice charts. With support from respected industry contacts like Graham Dominy (Eurythmics, Dave Stewart, Razorlight, and Imelda May) who, liking their sound, gave them free studio time for their first CD, they have, after being likened to such groups as Blur, The Lightening Seeds, The Feeling, Squeeze, Ocean Colour Scene, and The Small Faces, been able to make their music stand for itself as original empathetic pop songs
The Toniks have also become synonymous for their commitment to supporting charities such as a local children's hospice and Oxjam, giving their time very generously and enthusiastically in these projects.

Tribal Vibe
Tribal Vibe kick start the closing day of the festival with upbeat, grounded and punchy numbers, persuading the audience to their feet one at a time. Their set sees a healthy number of fans skanking and bouncing to the front, waking up to the final day. Infused with high energy and a clear passion to perform, this band should have revellers hitting the Google button on their return to reality.

Anja Kimberley - virtual festivals review
'Intense, raw energy!'
'sounds like rage against the machine but reggae'
'what would you even call that, kinda hip hop but more 'ska-hop'

Since the start of their new line up in 2009, now reviewed as being an 'upper' (one to watch) at this years One Love festival. This band have fans begging for more every time. Likened to Rage Against The Machine, Fat Freddies Drop, Steel Pulse and the Cat Empire these guys are rapidly growing.

Valentines (The)
The Valentines from brighton formed in late 2008. Their plan from the start was to make fun, proper songs that sound like they're sprinkled in sugar and glitter... to smash melodies out for everyone to fall in love with/to. After a handful of gigs in Brighton, the word spread of their energetic live performances, they were soon asked to support Babyshambles on their December tour in 2009 and supported the Libertines at their comeback show at the HMV forum in August!
