About

Brighton Live festival is now in its 5th year. For 5 years we have celebrating all that is fine about the Brighton music scene. And it feels good!

The festival is put together by local promoters and music biz types, with the help Brighton council.

Each year, we reach out into new areas of music Ð 2007, for example, saw the introduction of electronica, where saws and teaspoons (amongst other things) were layered into computers and played, live, as a soundtrack to a film to a packed cinema audience. In celebration of our fifth birthday, this yearÕs Ôfeatured genreÕ will include the best from the past five years - weaving Folk, Modern Classical, Leftfield Electronica, World Music and Jazz - into the main festival, as well as offering a regular venue for genre themed gigs.

WeÕre rather excited here at BrighonLive towers about the prospect of this yearÕs festival. And rightly so.

Please keep an eye on the website for further details, as weÕll be updating you frequently with news. In the meantime, please submit your band demos by the end of May (see the home page for details on how to do this).
